Who we are
The Stone Collective is an initiative founded by Hutton Stone, Johnston Quarry Group. LSI Stone, Lundhs, Paye, and The Stonemasonry Company. We are a group of industry leaders committed to promoting stone as the sustainable, low-carbon, load-bearing building material for the 21st century. Our mission is to educate and inspire the construction and design communities on the benefits of using load-bearing stone and natural stone bricks.
In the ever-evolving world of construction, stone remains a symbol of timeless beauty, durability, and strength.
Founding members
Hutton Stone
Hutton Stone are a highly dedicated team based in the Scottish Borders united by one common goal, supplying the finest quality, natural and sustainable Sandstone. With six generations of experience in natural stone quarrying, Hutton Stone provide a complete masonry supply service from their own quarried block to finely finished carving and masonry. Hutton Stone are pioneering the use of stone bricks as a sustainable alternative to their clay-fired cousins.
The Johnston Quarry Group/SIGMA ROC
The Johnston Quarry Group are a leading limestone block quarry and aggregates business with mineral sites based in the Cotswolds, at Oathill and Guiting, as well as Creeton and Ropsley quarry in Lincolnshire. In addition to the quarries, the Group owns Building Stone Ltd and Bath Stone Company. The Johnston Quarry Group supply significant tonnages of dimensional stone and quality aggregates

Lundhs
Lundhs Real Stone® consists of exclusive Norwegian natural stones – Larvikite and Anorthosite – formed deep beneath the Earth’s crust hundreds of millions of years ago. The stones’ unique density and characteristic crystals are the result of a slow cooling process that took place over more than eight million years, making them both exceptionally durable and visually striking.

The Stonemasonry Company
The Stonemasonry Company specialise in bespoke natural stonework projects, from concept and design through to manufacture, installation and completion. They combine traditional stonemasonry skills and expert carving with modern design technology and innovative engineering.
